Oh my god, I am so happy that I found this website. Thank you that I can post this here for free !!!!!!

Ok .. here's my story :( I am in urgent need of a dental treatment but my financial situation does not allow it. I went to a dentist for a consultation and he was really shocked when he saw me considering my age and the condition of my teeth. He said I have broken teeth, cavities, infections, problems with my jaw (jaws are about to brake apart .. that's how it sounds like when I open my mouth .. *crack* .. ewwww). I can not eat and bite/chew without pain. I am in very strong pain EVERY SINGLE DAY :((((((((. I haven't been to dentist for 2 years because I have had no insurance. I have no current solution for my problem so I thought maybe there are a view kind people out there who can help me. I am a female and only 24 years old but my teeth are a mess :(((( The dentist said if I don't do anything about it I will loose all my teeth in a very young age :(((((( ! I am not even able to smile at all. I am completely inconfident and I am in a depression :(((( I FINALLY HAVE medical insurance but in order to get my teeth fixed I still need to come up with 3000 Dollars (!!!) which I can not afford at all. To fix my two broken teeth: USD 660 USD EACH (crowns, root canal, etc.) and USD 1500 for braces to get my teeth back in order and prevent teeth/jaws from breaking. TOTAL USD 2820. Is there a kind doctor who is willing to do voluntary work? Or are there non-profit organisations? If you happen to read this posting and you would like to help me with a dollar or so then I would really appreciate it. You can send it to daniela_paypal@yahoo.com. I will send a picture with me and my dentist after and/or before treatment on it to EVERYONE who donates a little (or more) to me once I've got USD 3000 together to start. I'll think about something nice to thank everyone who is willing to help me such as a "thank you" posting at Ebay where millions of people can read it. I'm feeling embarassed posting this but I just can't deal with this pain anymore. Thanks for your time reading my message.

I dont feel so alone here now.I have epilepsy and was on many medications.I starting having bad  pain in my neck, jaws, and gums. After I had my daughter in 97,I noticed my gums were bleeding .Than my teeth starting cracking, breaking in half and falling out.Than the one next to it right after.I couldnt eat,I had trouble sleeping,I had no energy,I was just wiped out.I couldnt think or function. Not only was I on meds for seizures but meds for arthritis.I had surgery for an abcess that started in my jaw bone, than surgery to remove a large tumor in my throat, and my tonsils were literaly eaten out of my throat.I wasnt getting better from the meds,in fact I starting having hundreds of seizures a day.I had been to the Er repeatly and given pain meds and antibiotics.I spoke to my neurologist about the problems I was having and he said that he was more concerned with my having seizures than the damage from the meds.I spoke to my pcp and the same thing.I just cried all the time,my self esteem and health just went down hill.I starting having problems with my stomach also from all the ibuprofen. Now Im 38 and most of my teeth are broken and there is nothing I can do.Im on disability but neither of my insurance policies covers dental.Raising two children,my husband and I dont have the funds to have them fixed.I no longer smile even though Im naturally a people person.I cant believe in a country rich as America is that we are made to suffer this way.Id give anything to be able to smile again.

Who Knew, Certainly, as I am a nurse I am not against extractions at all, when it is warranted due to severe infection. However, I am against extraction when it is used as a way to deal with regular tooth decay that might otherwise be repaired through the traditional method of root canal and crown, as it was used in my case. And as a result, I unnecessarily lost 7 teeth. See the 'dental care for the low income situation' in Los Angeles is such that extractions are almost always preferred and pushed by dentists over the more costly alternative of root canals and crowns and potentially long drawn out payments. That is, we are losing teeth that could have been saved had we had dental insurance and/or A LOT of money. I am saying that I wish dentists in this area would offer a reasonable and affordable way to make payments for dental work, thus allowing us to keep some teeth, instead of yanking them out. Also, if someone is in agonizing pain which very obviously indicates infection, it is always better to receive antibiotic treatment first and then have that tooth or teeth extracted. No misinformation here… The dental links I have are for: http://www.dentalpipel ine.org/projects-map-ucla/ The listing below are of clinics that offer ‘fee for service dental work’ for low income, but not free. http://lapublichealth .org/ohp/ppplistings.htm I hope they are of use to everyone. Sincerely Julie

Smile, Hi I am writting this for my husband Bill, He is in need very bad for some Dentail inplants. Bill is retired and unemployed temperaly.(But Looking) Bill has had By-Pass open heart Surgery 6 years ago, and then 3 months later had another surgery for a aneurysm in his Arota. Between all that his ByPass collaps and needed more surgery. The Reason Bills teeth are so bad was due to his heart disese. He had pockets of infection. (yes we were seeing a dentest but not a very good one who missed all this trouble) Bill will never want for anything in his life. He is a giver and will give and give. Bill would give money to you if you needed something but not to him self at all. It would be the most wounderful thing if someone could give Bill a Dentail Implant that he want so bad. We feel the reason Bill is not able to get another job is because of this Teeth. People judge him becasue he looks the way he looks. Living here in Michigan Jobs are tough WE just lost our Insurance last week. But we will not give up. Bill will take any kind of job. If you can help in any way that would be so great. Any information about free clinics for this would be great. Remember Always Smile. Which Bill does not do anymore becasue of his teeth problems. Thanks

Hi Angelmedicla, I noticed your posting and I think you may be misinformed. You stated : “Interesting, I keep noticing the same posting of the same links for help. First off, the number one link is dental help for people who are disabled! Not ordinary people like us. And the second listing is medical clinics and if dental is offered, again Los Angeles's solution for dental problems is extractions or nominal prices.” The link I posted for free dental care states : Free, comprehensive dental care for elderly, disabled, and medically compromised adults. Then you stated: “The help that you will find through the dental clinics and so forth is extractions, extractions, extrac tions...” You then went on to post to Craig, “Sounds like extractions may be the solution for you” I have found, in my experience, extractions 1- cost less than a root canal 2- are less painful 3- PREVENT continuous infection/pain – which many people constantly experience – including myself. Personally, I would rather have the tooth pulled than be in constant pain. However, I do not have any control over what services these dentists offer, I only post the information I find. If you are against extractions, then why did you advise Craig to have his tooth extracted? Also, if you have, or are aware of more dentists who offer free services, then please list them. Thank you.

Who knew, I can feel your pain..I too live in LA and am trying to locate help for my dental work. Help with dental in LA is non existent... This has been an ongoing problem for me for 4 years total. The help that you will find through the dental clinics and so forth is extractions, extractions, extrac tions... That is, no one wants to help, they just want to pull em out. Thats why I am left with 12 teeth in my head now. If I hear of anything I will certainly let you know. Angelmedicla
